Blue LED Alero

I want to put in LEDs for my gauges, preferably blue. I've seen it done, but I have no idea what size or even what kind of LEDs I should purchase. I wanted to know if anyone that has done it can help. Thanks in advance.

You're gonna need "194 twist lock" bases which you can get from eBay. You can also get 194 LEDs from eBay, but they're really hit and miss in terms of reliability.

Here's a link for the twist locks:

As for the twist locks, i just cut the old lights out and put leds in it's place. I havn't used smd leds so i can't say how they will look or last. I have some in my fogs and back-up lights and they look nice.

I used flat top leds like this

I these round top ones one time and no lie they lasted a week before one by one they started going out.

depending on the year they might not be fastened to the base. I know in my old 03 and i would guess 04 they were just regular 194 sockets in the twist lock, much easier then trying to get the bulbs out of the ones that are attached to the base. if they are and you manage to rip the old bulb out I couldnt get a lot of them to make a good connection until I just gave up and soldered them in.
