15.4, gay.

No traction, lots of wheel hop off the line. Beat a Corvette, though. (I'm assuming something was wrong with it since it went through the traps at 16.5)

I only made 3 passes, track was PACKED AS HELL. My final pass required a half hour waiting in line, so I said screw trying to get the launch right and getting a 14.9 tonight.

One run the guy hit the tree initialization far too fast, so I was preppin to launch when it turned green, my reaction time was 3.1 seconds LOL

Once I get traction I fly, lol. I did 0-90 against a manual Neon (lol) and a 1995 Camaro RS, and on both of them we're about even as I smoke the tires through first, then once I get traction they're gone.

First run: 15.4 @ 87.0MPH
Best run out of the three I got a chance to do. Strangely, I raced as soon as I got there (no line) while everything was still hot from the drive, had loads of wheelspin, but got my fastest time.

Second run: 15.6 @ 87.0MPH
10 minutes after the first run, hood open til then.

Third run: 15.6 @ 87.4MPH
Bag of ice on the supercharger, another bag on the intake. Half hour cool down time, then went into line for a half hour. By the time I got to the starting line temps weren't cold anymore. I started slow, 1200RPM launch, easing the pedal to the floor. No wheel hop, but no dice on a 14 either.

600' elevation. About 70 degrees.

Supercharger kit (incl colder plugs, 310cc injectors), 2.7" pulley, cold air intake.

I only saw 4PSI of boost today too. On a cool night I can easily get 5PSI with this pulley (which is also what the 2.8" stock one is supposed to enable the s/c to do, but I'm one of the unlucky ones who get shit boost numbers lol)

Can't you bump that boost number up to 6 or 7?

Yup, $50 2.6" pulley. I've contemplated buying it at the moment. But.. I'd like to put Eagle forged rods in it along with all new bearings and piston rings before I start putting out more power with this 175,300 mile all-original-parts engine.

I need some drag radials or something. My stock-style street tires are hockey puck hard.

Just read in an old forum some guy on j-body got a 14.2 on a 58 degree evening, with an automatic like me (Though it was a supercharged 2.2L Eco). I probably could've gotten a lot better if I could've raced around 8PM, but tonight was King of Street actual bracket racing, not test and tune for the most part. I'll be back on a 4-9PM test and tune night to see if I can't do any better.

I would.. I want to get the 2.6" pulley that way there would be no doubt in getting good times.. but I also don't want to hear a big bang and find a three inch hole through the block.

But then again there's a guy with a cavalier running 13s on all stock internals (spinning the supercharger real fast using an overdrive crank pulley that spins the s/c at the same speed a 2.5" pulley would and he's at 130,000 miles)

I need sticky tires, forged rods, and a $50 2.6" pulley! Cheaper than $750 tune.

I launched at 1400-1600 but the way I did it was hold the brake and hold the revs at that number then when it's time to go I let off the brake and put it to the floor pretty damn fast. Which makes wheel hop happen. I didn't get too much of a chance to do it better (smoothly putting it to the floor while still having a good brake torque launch) because it was packed, like I say.

The corrected times (from elevation, humidity, pressure, temperature) are 15.0 @ 89.4MPH as the quarter mile. I could easily get 14.9 with traction.

You won't blow a hole in the block with 7 psi. Get that smaller pulley!

What kind of tires are you running?

new tires are definately needed along with a smaller pulley. HP tuners and learning how to use it would be a great investment. It will help you see larger improvements with every little mod you do.

What is the point of just doing eagle rods without doing pistons or a biuld and how will that help your times? If you want to get the most out of what you have now do the pulley and get some new meets for the front. Since you have so many miles I know you want to build her up so she will last. But when you do that do it all at once. Dont just do rods, do the whole thing. Cams, head work, pistons, rods,ect... then I would tune her up after you find out which route you are taking.

a 2.4 will survive 250-275hp easily. you're barely tickling 200hp... get a tune, and tire.

spy's right, tune is holding your engine back, and DR's are holding your 60' times back. getting both will shave a good amount of time off. Besides, boost + bad tune = bad juju.
