Whats Up, New...

Hows it going guys, im new to aleromod, and do not currently own an Alero. But i keep it in the family with a 00 Lumina. I am constently looking and reviewing for a new car, and you alero ethusiats have really caught my eye. Power to price ratio is AWESOME, upgrades are cheap and easy to come by, body kits look AMAZING. There is only one thing, I love the SFI engine. But I see alot of you with the 2.4 eco's upgrading. Im not much of a turbo guy. But I love a supercharger. Which is better for me to grab up? 3.4 or 2.4? BTW for the first year Im only going to do 180 Tstat, CAI, and Exhaust.

Welcome

3400 V6 SFI
2.4L Twin Cam
2.2L Ecotec

No 2.4 Ecos here; get a 2.4L though, and strap on that supercharger.

How much does the eaton run ya? and what are the numbers on it? Im not much of a 4 banger type guy. Im guessing the 2.4 is just easier to upgrade then the 3.4? I just dont like that 150 hp stock, haha.

$1579 shipped, adds a fair amount of horsepower, some have dynoed with just the kit and CAI at 215WHP, running low 14s. I'm hitting the track when a day comes it's not raining on their test & tune days.

Hmmm nice. Im looking for something different, to show all these Integra's, Civics, and tC's around here that GM can make a powerful car per Cobalt era. I saw that the GM site says 50 HP 40 Tourque. Thats with the stock pulley? So supercharger, Exhaust, CAI, Tstat, smaller pulley, and reflash, i should be running low 14's all for around 2500 on a factory engine. Wow can you all say SLEEPERS, why didnt i know about you Alero fellows a year ago.
