Cai?
Ok, eventually my next mod will be a cold air intake...but I have some questions! I have heard that sometimes water can get in.....if there is heavy snow or rain....is this true...or nonsense? I live in Eastern Washington and it usually snows a lot, and rains quit often during the winter....is that a problem for CAI or is this post just silly? If there was a chance water could get into my engine...I would not do this mod!
I also heard that you loose bottom end torque with CAI.....any thoughts!

If you buy the CAI, you can convert it to WAI for the winter months

only way you're getting water in there is if you drive into a stream

Thanks guys...I will probablly just leave it CAI for the winter, if I decide to get it! I think it would be a pain to convert to warm air for the winter. If there is a slim chance of water getting in...I think CAI would be better than warm air anyway!
I am thinking about going with Doctor Speed....I know it is expensive....but seems like good quality! I am sure there is other good quality CAI, but I would never buy a intake off Ebay!

Or maybe near the desplaines river? heh... Well, I'm going to get an AEM bypass valve for the intake setup and see how engine #2 holds up.
