Low coolant light on?!?
Well ever since my friend and I replaced my water pump my low coolant light comes on and off on a daily basis. The car does not have any leaks, it has 94,000 miles, and the lower intake gasket was replaced at 50k. I have checked the oil and it is clean, there is no sign of oil in the coolant, and the car runs perfect. Could this just be some kind of sensor that I messed up while replacing my pump? Apparently my car has had 3 water pumps put in its lifetime, including 2 within the 3 years iv'e owned the car. Does it need something simple as a coolant flush or is there some other way to stop the light from comming on?

Is it tank filled up all the way? If it's comming on and off, the coolant is probably just low and when you turn or hit a bump the level drops below the sensor and triggers the light
A coolant flush won't hurt either, just make sure you get a "postive" flush

The sensor is in the overflow tank, don't think u could have messed it up changing the pump. The sensor could be getting bad/connection?

I had the same problem. Me and my uncle did a valve job and replaced a bunch a gaskets, then the themostat. So most of the coolant drained. When we were done, the low coolant sign came on. I filled it up yet still it stayed on. So i disconnected the negative terminal on the battery for about 30 min. to a hour and made sure it was full. Now it doens't come on and its been a week And 2 prove it worked now only my check engine light comes on as before they both came on together when i turned the car on. I dont have a cat so thats why the check engine light comes on. I will be getting a metalic high flow cat soon. Try it or just replace the sensor.

Yea i'm having the exact problem! It's probably the weather here in Rochester that's messing up our cars. But I'm taking my car to the shop on tuesday to have my mechanic look at that and do an oil change. I'll let you know what he says, but he thinks it's just the sensor.

if ur tryin to reset the light theres a procedure u gotta follow, theres a how to on it.
as for the light comin on with everything lookin fine, ur sensor may be goin bad or maybe a bad connection. Wires get pinched sometime and bingo there u go.

I will try reseting it because my low tire pressure light is on anyways after I filled them up. I will see what happens but I don't think its gonna do anything with that. Its just really annoying to have the bell dinging every 5 minutes because the coolant light goes on and off.

wtf
low coolant will be triggered by the coolant level sensore in your reservoir tank. So either there are periods where it is not sensing enough coolant in the reservoir or.... the sensor is faulty, i dunno if it triggers an SES light on these vehicles I know some do.
don't look too far into this one, it's probably a simple answer
