Ok, with the UIM removed enough for me to peer down to the fuel rail (at least to injector #1 - meaning I left most of the crap bolted to the UIM, i want to avoid a full top end removal if possible lol), I can see that the injector isn't all the way into the opening, it needs to be pushed down in there or something.

However, shouldn't I see fuel around the opening if it just needs to be pushed down? Or do I need to pull the entire injector and clean it anyway to make sure it's alright? I just don't understand why I don't see a puddle of fuel if that's the issue (that it isn't into the opening in the intake all the way)

I pushed the injector down all the way into the intake port, will this fix it? I don't want to have to pull the top off again if it won't but there's no real way to tell without putting it back on... so I need to know lol

Edit: Yes, that fixed it.
