my front right caliper is making a horrible noise. it sqweeks when i put presure on the brakes, even park. its the front right caliper and dealership wants 175.00 for a new one....

theres gotta be some kinda recall issue we can talk to gm about...it seems every single car has this same problem on the drivers side...I know I did to before i went to baer

any parts store will have it. Mine do that, I just grease em up and they're good for another couple months.

guess what.. it isnt the caliper!!!! my grandpa fixed it. its not the caliper! the brake pad is on a peice of metal right.. well the metal piece has parts that stick out to fit into place. the top peice is rubbing the metal plate in the caliper. so grandpa filed it smooth and rounded, then used that grease for calipers and no more noise. lol i was soo happy. i bought a caliper at murrays for 40.00 and took it back cuz i didnt need it. heres a pic of the metal piece on the brake pad that had to be smoothed out
