probly not greg..i'm pretty sure i've seen a couple other guys do it...maybe not tho..
i know personally i kept the stock TB from a 2.4, because i'm gettin it bored out to a 60mm here at a local machin shop for $75CAD
the install on just the HO manifold can be done in about 4hours if you've got someone there to hold up the cables/wiring when you're sliding in the manifold...after that its pretty much all good

the 2.3 throttle body is 56mm as opposed to the stock 52mm throttle body. so, yes, the bigger size is going to give you more horsepower. however, if you go too big with a throttle body, you'll end up bogging your engine down instead of helping it. that's why this one is a good swap.

the 56mm is a better fit for most 2.4's modded. you gain hp but don't lose that much torque. while with the 62mm TB you gain more hp but lose torque.

yet another question...I called up this one mechanic and asked him would he install the parts for me. He made it seem like it would not be worth all the trouble and I would run into problems down the line along with my check light always being on. So he won't do it. Is it true about the check engine light and problems down the line???? I myself wouldn't think so.

that's the thing, I'd do it myself but the only thing I'd be able to figure out myself is the AEM intake. As far as the TB and manifold, I would need some help. Oldsman gave me his phone # in case I have any questions, I just don't feel comfortable doing it myself. Just as long as I know that I shouldn't run into any major problems I'll do it.

ya, the best option would probably be the Quaife. Only thing is that it's kinda steep for most at $1445. I have a Torsen in my beretta and LOVE it, it too was like $1200.

Well today we took everything apart and had it all ready to install the 2.3 intake manifold and TB. We ended up deciding it was something that I don't think I'm going to try and install because we weren't sure of how to install it and didn't want to try anything we weren't sure of. I will probably post in the bazaar section and see if anyones interested in the parts.
