if the car only has 30,000 miles on it, do you need to get new struts too?

if you have the money...then by all means change out the struts......the stock ones will work fine..but you might have to change them out in the future.....

I put them on my car when it had 60,000 miles on it, I didn't change my struts and my ride is fine. I like the eibachs I just wish they were a little lower.

^^what he meant was when you cut em, you change the lbs capacity of said spring, so for example, if you cut springs that are rated for 280 lbs of pressure, by cutting a coil out,(no matter if its just the pigtail end) you lose alot of that available spring pressure to make it ride right....i think if i remember right....flalero??...or someone who had cut there springs from florida(red four door)? said he wished he didnt ....just a heads up....if you have to cut a coil for a certain look, do it with a stocker, or aske for someone to trade, ..............im now having issues with the lowering on the back of my car,(with sprint springs), and ill have to get some H&R or Eibachs for the rear

Not as dumb as using u-bolts to shackle them down. When I was working at a shop I cam in with an 86 rx-7 for an out-o'-province inspection (alberta's is a joke compared to others) and he had done this. U-bolts were old/rusted and just about ready to give, man would that have been a fun ride. 90 Degree corner at 55 and the inside spring let go, :woohoo:

So please tell me.
What are the dangers?
They were CUT not torched, and i have put about... *thinks hard* 50-60k kms on them. Heating springs can cause a poopload of issues due to the fact that springsteel HATES to be heated... but i didnt heat mine.
