Dummy Lights

Since I got my alarm/remote start system installed a couple months ago, the security dummy light comes on once in a while. As far as I know, isnt it only passive security on alero's, i mean there is no alarm at all. THe light came on today as I was driving home from work. I stopped at the movie store after that, when I came out the light didnt come on anymore. What is this light for exactly, and why is it coming on, it cant be anything to do with the Viper system i have, nor do I experience anything going wrong when it does come on. Any help apprecieated...

Well I have the same problem, went to carmax to get it checked out with the tune up that I needed. All they said is: "Well when it comes on just reset it." I was like wtf that doesnt tell me poop! I hate those people

lol so I dunno, sry I couldnt be of more help, but just reset it. Shouldnt harm anything that I know of.
