A few people have said they will fit, but being higher wattage, I wouldn't want to melt a projector or a harness. Has anyone here run these for a decent length of time?

Hmmm... 50/50 split so far. Talk about torn!
I'm still considering lots of options, ranging from higher wattage in the stocks, to better projectors bolted on!

894 bulbs originally, i think Sylvania does 893's which are 37.5 watts
if i'm right they're the same as the 894's, not positive but it sounds right to me

I know Osram Sylvania 894's are 37.5 watts.. mostly 894's are in the mid 30's as far as wattage... my question was, has anyone run 886's (much higher wattage!) with a stock setup! I only ask because some people, including Naich, say they fit... I just want to know if I need to upgrade the harness before hand, to avoid melting wires!

They will fit in the fog light hardness but the bulbs will not do any good to your wiring.
A while ago I bought the 880's to put in my fogs becasue I wanted Silverstars and that is the only fog bulbs they made. They were 27 watts, and the bulbs blew out very quickly, prpbably within 3 weeks. Both blew out on a road trip to IN in the snow.
I figered that 10 watts less wouldn't make a difference, but it cost me $40 for a set that lasted 3 weeks. You go 15 watts higher, it could cost you much more

The cost of Silverstars really is obscene. I thought of the 880s but didn't bother because Walmart wanted I think $18 bulb. Anyway I've decided against the 886's.
