2nd to last points day and a critical one for yours truly. Ken's trans went south so he stayed home and our fellow racer Corey decided she didn't want to get out of bed so it was just me going down to RP.
The track made us wait 45 minutes for a storm front which never arrived (they claimed it was coming in 7 minutes) so we started racing 90 minutes late, which resulting in everyone only getting 1 time shot. I pulled a nice .004 green light and ran right on what it should run in this weather.
We stopped time trials and 1st round of Super ET a few times for some light rain and sprinkles. Then as Super was winding down the skies opened up and it poured. Track officials called off the event and gave everyone rain checks even though the sun and blue skies came out less than 45 minutes later. It stayed beautiful the rest of the day which didn't matter any to me since I really needed for us to be racing yesterday so I can try to regain ground on the #3 & 4 spots in the standings.
This coming Sunday is our final points race of the season. I am in 5th place, 4 points out of 3rd place and 3 points out of 4th. And there are 3 guys within 4 points behind me in the standings.
