will a 2.4 cavalier alternator work on an 2.4 alero?????

according to autozone, pep boys, napa, and other places say won't work.

All the blocks are exactly the same for the 2.4L, so I don't know how it would bolt up differently, all the accessories go on the same way... The only real difference would be the alternators amps.
If you want a more extreme example. I'm using a 1997 block and head, and everything that was on my 2001 motor bolted up absolutely fine and dandy.

how bout the cav rksport headers, those headers look nice and I heard they make their cars sound nice. So will the cav rksport headers work aswell seeing we have the same engine?
