I think bdyman needs to get a grip, those mirrors will look 100% stock color with a couple more coats of paint and a couple coats of clear on them the reason why they dont look as metallic is becuase there is no clear on it.
|
Now I wouldn't go saying that... I'm just saying no reason to tell cyber to stop spouting off or whatever when he didn't say anything confrontational at all.

anyhoo.....it does need to be a little more metallic...clear wont do anything for that....seems that its quite close other than that.

The paint looks flat till it has clear, Clear coating it will make it look alot better and will let the metallic stick out.

I'm finishing the paint when it stops raining outside. It was too cold and humid to do painting today. Didn't even bother cause I know it wouldn't stick.

Black mirrors come on the base models. Ala your GX. Body matched mirrors were standard on the GLS. At least this was the case in '99. I think the GL's got black mirrors in '02 or '03.
Seeing as my original mirrors were body matched, I thought I'd paint my new mirrors.
Once done, the paint is going to match perfectly.

The mirrors look good, regardless of what some people say. For someone that DOESNT DO PAINT AS THEIR PROFFESIONAL JOB you did really good.

I think that was more than just a little sarcastic and kinda rude. I painted the whole trunk lid on my old car with cans and I couldnt even tell that I had painted it.

What smokinAMD is doing is giving me ideas. Anyone know where I can get a cheap set of GA GT mirrors, manual not power? and what years fit a Alero or specifically a 2000 Alero Sedan?
