Today my parents freaked out and made me put the emblems back on and made me fix my clear corners back and take out my cathodes and I didnt even get a picture or anything. They said that it was all illegal and pointless and that the clear corners and cathodes would affect my driving and that taking the emblems off affected insurance and crap it was all a bunch of lies but whatever so now im pissed....I dont know if I will be back on considering my parents wont let me do anything anyway.

haha, my dad is a little tense like that, and he has a right to be, he did buy the car, but just do what i do, work on your car when your parents aren't home, or go to a friends house, and dont let your parents near your car

ive got the same deal. good thing mine only care if im spending money so the cheap stuff is fine. itll be a scary day when they find out about the intraxes and the kyb's. ill probably have to run the exhaust and rims past them since those are kind of noticeable mods. sucks that your parents dont understand.

depending on how much you have to rely on them you could just tell them to deal with it since you paid for it but pissing parents off is not a good thing.

That's crazy that you can't do any of that stuff... Before I was of legal age the only thing i was ever complained at about were things that woke people up at night LOL! Tomorrow I'll be getting a new cat-back made for my dad's Crossfire (2004, 2500 miles on it). I guess it's a good thing that everyone's parents aren't the same.

You should talk to them again, or just ignore them. It's your car and you pay for everything so they don't have a right to complain about your car. In early summer 2003 I was driving a 1995 Accord and I spent about $4500.00 in one month. My car came home with rims, coilovers, new lights all around, wings west lip kit, and a few minor engine mods. The summer before I spent about $2000 on the stereo and alarm. My parents thought I was crazy and were a little upset but would never tell me to take stuff off because it was my car and I paid for everything. You have to tell your parents that it's yours and you can do what you want with it. I was still living at home when I had the Honda and was working full time.
