White Car Tips

anyone who says a white car is easy to keep clean, doesnt have one

leaves are murdering the top, hood and trunk of my car they leave horrible brown spots that almost have to be scraped away with my finger. Some of them only come off with the aid of a scratch remover.
anyone know how to fight this(i cant cut down the trees, ive suggested that to my family) Falls coming again and its bad enough during the rest of the year.

I keep the car heavily waxed and i was it about ever 10 to 15 days

best suggestion for the leave problem is find a different place to park or aquire a car cover for over night or long periods of not driving it...

its horrible on my white car, the white boat gets it too when its not in storage, but all the other cars here are unaffected by them

wash your car more often even if you just do it quickly, just to get the major buildup off the car

Give it a good claybar treatment to see if that stuff comes off?

That is what I was going to recommend. When I used the clay bar on mine, it removed all the tree sap and other tiny spots that were on my paint. It left nothing but white. Clay bar is really time consuming though.

its a bar of clay type stuff, that helps to get rid of the impurities and such that are sitting on your paint job. Best done before a wax.

What he said. Also, you spray detailer, and rub over that with the bar. The detailer makes the surface slippery, so there wont be much friction either.

my car is yellow and i have a lot of similar cleaning problems as a white car would.. but never a problem with leaves like you describe. Don't park under a tree, or if that's not an option then throw a tarp over it if its going to sit for more than a few hours. I can't wait for my house so my little beanie balt can park in a garage! Gets filthy quick!
