I didn't mean it to be personal. It's just how bent out of shape people can get (including myself) dealing with this subject.

And if you want a car that has a higher governor, maybe you should go buy one. :P

I thought of that dangit, but not until AFTER I bought the 'ho...thus my presence on this forum!!! Don't worry, it would take alot more than someone typing on a keyboard to get me truly bent out of shape...

FYI, I am not going to go F*** off. You need to grow up sometimes. Keep your damn opinion to yourself. It is obvious you don't care what happens to others if it contradicts what you think is right so I would appreciate it if you kept opinions like that to yourself. I happen to enjoy driving at high speeds, I find it very relaxing and enjoyable. :alcoholic:

And dammit yes I said drifting!!! It is quite possible with a FWD, you just have to know about weight transfer...

The fact of the matter is that if someone wants their vehicle un governed, they can do that. Many many cars have way higher governers than ours so what gives???

And one last thing Albino. There are more places to go above 107 than a drag strip...like the aforementioned Salt Flats...

2k4.....you're argument is again....dissapointing

Drifting is for RWD/awd you gotta have power in the rear wheels!, powersliding is the only thing possible in FWD......

and as for calling albino out for an opinion and then telling them to shutup is just plain hypocritical.

as for the 107 governor on the alero being injust because some OTHER less capable car has a higher governor still doesn't make it right.

It is not so much about his opinions as it is his lack of RESPECT for others. And it is possible to drift, you can call it a 'powerslide' if you want, but it boils down to the same thing(a controlled slide around a corner). Search around you you will see plenty of hondas etc, who can drift.

Doesn't make it right but doesn't make it wrong either. It all depends on your perspective. Perspective is truth, what is right to you may be wrong to me period. That's just the way it is, people have their own opinions and no matter how much sense it may make to you, you will NEVER convince everyone to thing like you.

What is with all you belligerent people? If you want to take off the governor, fine. There's really no point to it, except in Spy/BlackJack/other faster guys' applications. Drag racing ain't fun? Go to the track you schmuck. It's more fun than you think. And you want to Auto-x, or race at a road course? You won't be breaking 100mph there anyway. NO POINT TO REMOVING THE GOVERNOR!!!!!!

f*** off already.

lol wow this has gotten out of hand.

Yes that is correct i said drag racing is NOT fun, and no i wont be going to the track because i see it as a waste of money to go and pay to do what i could do on a highway if i really wanted to. YES i do want to auto-x and already do, it is alot of fun aand actually reqires more skill than getting a good start and driving in a straight line. And i know im not going to go over 100 there and as i alreay stated somewehre in this post i dont want to remove my governor and never will. I was just trying to get some of you people that want to act like god on this board to calm down, but apparently that will never happen cause it makes you feel way to good to talk poop and run down other people ideas online.

well i thought this site was to help people do what they want to there cars, if they wanna do it, tell em how and let him do it, just warn him of the danger and let him be on his way. if he feels uncomfortable driving that fast he'll back off, and if not then he is probly skilled enough to know he has to upgrade from stock suspension, brakes, etc. ,,,

and a powerslide is a "form" of drifting,
