12" Rear disc brake upgrade options?

So I finally got my hands on some camaro calipers and brackets. Since i have a GL, my 15" rims wouldnt work the the 12" camaro rotors, so bought a set of 16" GLS rims to make this swap work. I was wondering if there is any type of direct fit upgrade for the rear that would work with my 16" GLS rims.

I know of the 13" GXP set up, but that would require 17" rims right? I was thinking that maybe the GTP came with a 12" set up on the rear but i have no idea.

Well, the GXP rears are 12". I'd test it for you, but I haven't had stock 16" wheels in probably 10 years.
It'll probably be a very tight fit.
GXP fronts are 12.7" and require 17" wheels.

Oh okay. I was reading an older thread and Cliff mentioned something about 17" rims with 13" Rotors. I didn't know if it was 13" rotors on fronts and backs or fronts only. Well, if thats the case then it looks like i'll be running the GXP on the back. Thanks Matt.

Edit: also thanks to Rad for verification!

I have the complete GXP rear brake set-up on my Alero. I haven't tried a stock GLS wheel on there yet, but I did have a flat in the rear and the 16 inch 2000-2005 Impala spare I bought, which is a 16 inch wheel, fit fine.

If they fit with an Impala spare, then I dont see why they cant fit behind the GLS rims. I know what my next mod is!

Are they single or dual piston calipers? Also, did anyone run into any issues worth noting while doing this upgrade?

GXP rears are single-piston. I might have a set for sale if you are interested.
Of course I used Corvette rear brakes which are slightly different, but fit fine.
