I'm actually stuck at work because the car won't start. The only thing that is unusual is that the security light is flashing. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. You have to turn the key to "on" three times, and leave "on". The security light will then stop blinking. Turn the car off and start. the bad news is that you will have to replace the ignition cylinder. The problem will only get worse. Anything else let me know.

if the security light is on do this; turn your key in the off position, get out of your car, lock your doors and start the process as if you where just getting into your car. Unlock it, get it and I bet it will start

I have the same problem .....If you wait it out, it will continue to blink for approx. 9 minutes. then it will stop. But my suggestion is to try what 6STRGSSS has advised. I have never heard of doing that...But I'll be trying it the next time my car does that..
