I think he was poking fun that Scot did repairs on a couple of cars at ASS.

my plan was to install the TB before ASS but not only did i not have time to retune, my step dad talked me out of it because the 60*v6 TB requires a coolant bypass and it looks like i have the wrong linkage on the new piece.

Has anyone ever looked at ways to reduce weight in an Alero instead of dumpin more stereo equipment into the trunk? Some of the sound systems on here weigh a lot. We look at ways to make what we have go faster but we make it harder to go faster.

After reading this again, maybe the last thing you need is more speed.
Oldsnut: I reduce the weight in the car when I head to the track. I dump out the spare and run with 1/4 tank or less

Ever thought of getting ahold of a couple of JATO rockets, slapping them on the roof, then lighting them when the light turns green? Should give quite a little extra boost.

Lol all the feed back is great i want to find the so called s&s headers for the v6 and i plan on doin full exhaust, lowering springs, a new paint job( mine is falling apart at the roof) and a short ram intake with the heat sheild then i guess 8mm sparks. that should make it decent to take out the ricer trash lol

the headers is a great start. Actually one of the largest gains of all the single mods you can do. If you want to take out the "ricer trash" then you better get going, because a Civic Si is about 200+ hp stock, and weighs less than your alero.....
either way, get stuff a little at a time, and start from the engine and work your way outwards. example: after the headers, get a larger exhaust (cat, pipe and muffler). Then start back in on your intake. Get the LIM and UIM (yes, you can get them separate) then the TB.
Also a good mod is a lightened and/or underdrive pulley. Rev's quicker.

3rd on that. I kinda went ass backwards into it though. Cai the udp then my next mod was heads and intake manifolds, then a tune, then exhaust. kinda effed up order.
