Random Hesitation @ different speeds
Ok so Ive looked around the forum and found 1 thing that i thought was causing the hesitation (fuel filter) got that changed and it still does it. Took it to a shop and the guy there couldnt find a thing wrong saying it could be bad gas or water vapor? Drove it back and forth for 2 days nothing happened then the next day it happened a few times at different speeds and at different pressures on the gas petal.
So whats the deal? Any clues as the where to look next?

Never heard of a ful pump acually kicking it on an Alero, but Im sure its possible. What would make an injector sticky to the point of failing to delilver gas? And how would u be able to tell which one? Or could it be the electrial connection going bad to the injector. But wouldnt that just make it just misfire??

a sticky injector could have just been caused by dirty fuel, if its just a little sticky and not completely stuck it would take slightly longer for it to open, and therefore a delay in receiving the fuel, and also less fuel to be delivered since the injector isn't open for as long

He said it's at certain pressures on the throttle, could it be something to do with the TPS? Just a thought.

I dont know what motor you have, but on the 3400, ive gone through two pumps, and have a spare ready. They definately do go out on aleros. My random misfire ended up being bad wires, one was taking 14500 ohms, the new one was at 3000 ohms.

The guy before me must have gotten very cheap wires, they looked pristine and new, but alas, they sucked

well I finally got an answer to why my engine was stalling and hesitating. The ICM has gone belly up. So I will be replacing that along with 3 new coil packs and spark plug wires to boot.
All at the sum of 240$.
