'99 hesitation at 30-40 mph range

I have a '99 coupe with CAI and magnaflow muffler. Those are the only upgrades so far and it has 116,000 mi. I am noticing that when I "gun" it to get onto a hwy or whatever it starts to hesitate for a second or so and then runs on fine. I don't recall it doing that when I got the car. I don't believe it started when I got the upgrades put on. What could be the possible problems and fixes? Thx

Are you getting any error codes? Someone in this forum was having a hesitation problem as well, with no error codes (only it was on the ecotec). Turns out it was the Ignition coil and Module. Maybe you could check if there is spark on all the ignition wires or something.

This is the thread I was talking about

when was the last tome you did a tune up ? plugs, wires ect

that will help alot if its needed. I have a set of taylor wires that have less then 100 miles on them. installed them just before I found the rust out
