I think found the problem (and I should have done this a LONG time ago).
Rented a compression tester from AutoZone.
Pulled the plugs - 1, 2, 3 and 4 look fine. 5 and 6 are not so good.....the plugs are completely black.
Anyway, ran the compression test, starting with cylinders 2, 4 and 6 - they are on the front of the engine and easiest to get to.
Cylinder 2 - 175 PSI
Cylinder 4 - 170 PSI
Cylinder 6 - 15 PSI (!!!!) - I stopped after I saw this one.
Yessiree, Houston, we have a problem. I don't hear any banging when turning the motor over, so I don't think I dropped a valve and nuked the piston. I'm thinking either bad rings or a blown head gasket.
So at best, I was only running on 5 cylinders. But given the state of the #5 plug, I wouldn't be suprised if I was only running on 4. Dammit!!!
Pics of the plugs (5 and 6 are carbon-fouled):
Motor comes back out next weekend.

damn 15 psi sucks. did you wet test that cylinder then? dump a lil oil in the hole and re-test it. if it goes up, you have a ring problem (or something round that area). if it doesn't, its likely your valves instead. your cyl 5 might be ok, at least from the looks of the plug its still firing, although very rich.

On your video it said you had a stage 3 cam which will give you kinda loopy idling so it should sound like that

I hope its not the valves! Those were vacuum tested before I shipped them.
I can call it a stage 4 cam but that doesn't make it a big lopey cam:P This is why I hated the stage labels, but too many people depend on them to choose a cam.

thought about doing that but too much to do right now... its actually going to be quicker and more productive to charge these while I am working than to find time to go out and buy new ones.

Here's a couple new videos for ya'll. Please excuse the commentary - I hate how my recorded voice sounds.
In this video, you see my new oil pressure gauge. I think it's acting wonky because I neglected to run a ground wire to the pressure sender.
And here's a close-up of the exhaust with the car warmed-up (in closed loop). You can just barely detect a hint of lope from the cam....but it's still very quiet I think.
Questions/comments/constructive criticism welcome. A big thanks to Mark @ MP Racing for all his hard work on this build.
