Towing A Tent Trailer

Has anyone ever towed a tent trailer with their V6 Alero? I am questioning because my aunt has offered to give me one for free, but I am afraid the car might not be able to handle it.

I know we are rated at a 1000lb. towing capacity, and I am trying to find out what this one weighs in at. I am just wondering if anyone has had any experience or difficulties at all towing.

Not sure about the Alero but I had a Plymouth Acclaim (91) 4 banger and towed one of them over the moutian we have around here. never had an issue with it.

I've never tried, but I'm sure you could if it wasn't too big. Just pay attention when you're towing and slow down or put it in 3rd if it's hunting between 3rd and 4th gear too much.
