reverse lights not working

okay i put the car in reverse and the back up lights do not come on. i looked at the bulbs an they seem fine. what else could cause them to stop working? i cant seem to find a fuse that is for them either.

i just need a little direction. like where the fuse is located and whats it labeled as? Or what else to check for. is there a switch in the shifter some where i can check or something? unfortunately i do not have a repair manual yet which is why i am asking for help here.

and one more thing, my rear driver side door does not lock. when i push the power lock button the door makes the sound like it has locked but i can still open it and the plastic lock knob inside the door does not move. i tried pushing that and it didn't budge. any ideas? thanks in advance.

Do the cars have a sensor in the gear box for reverse? In my new car I had the same problem and there was a sensor in the transmission or gearbox (can't remember which) which had come unplugged. We plugged it back in and everything was fine.

first just pull the bulbs and look. or even put in a known good one. its easy. rule it out and dont just assume they are ok. and its a whole lot easier then anything else involving the reverse light. while you go check ill look up the diagrams.

edit: inspect fuse B/U LP/BTSI in the underhood fuse block. should be a 15 amp fuse

could be bad internaly. if your sure it has to be the swtich then it could just be bad inside the switch and you will never see it outside just by looking at it.
