Looks nice, very clean. How do you go about cleaning and detailing your engine?

well thats dirty to me i havent cleaned it yet this summer. if dont properly you can get it really good. i cover anything electrical with plastic shopping bags. any wires, battery, alt, etc.after making sure everything is covered wery well spray liberally and I mean LIBERALLY the entire engine bay with simplegreen at full strength with engine at regular operating temperature. let it sit for 5-10 minutes 10 if its really dirty then rinse with low pressure very low pressure. turn car on immediately after about 20 minutes if you choose to you can spray it with a detailer or clear tire shine to add a high gloss which i do but it will allow dirt and dust to stick easier but i just like the shiny clean look.

FYI, you can cover up just the alternator and spray the whole thing down with a garden hose, if you really wanted to. but yeah, Simple Green it the best for a really dirty engine bay.

So just cover up the alternator and that's it? What about any of the wires or wire harnesses?

That's purty. Did you polish the manifold and valve covers or paint them?

i was going to say the water pump now stands out.

When doing up an engine bay you always have to look at what the next thing might look like crap and if i do this then i need to do that........which is why i need more chrome.
