The heat extractor hood similar to the one ion posted would be cool ... especially if it was actually funtional.

There is no point in having a cowl hood on a fwd car.

Hopefully, you're not serious and your post was made completely drunk and you are not actually that ignorant.

1. Cowl hoods are made to cool down the engine bay. Are our engines located in the engine bay? Yes.

2. Cowl hoods have a larger angle to promote more downforce to the front end. Are our car's FWD, which would mean more downforce to the wheels that are powered? Yes.

3. Cowl hoods look good. You want your car to look good right? Yes.

Explain why these are bad because Aleros are FWD.

because a cowl hood was not originally design to cool down the engine but a another way of getting air into the motor kinda like ram air.it provides a relief for the air that is built up and the windshield abeing it is a pressure point then you suck air from that area into the carb you get a ram air effect

right, but we're talking about the logic the other guy's using to say it's retarded since the alero is FWD, lol. i know it's supposed to draw air in, it also cools things down

That is what I would want. I could care less about scoops or anything, as long as it's lightweight.

why does there have to be a point? the cowl flows well with the body lines and the razzi spoiler, and it helps seperate from all the other stock aleros out there. i have the ONLY cowl hood for an alero in my city, which makes my car unique.

Ok well some of you old time aleromod members may remember that at one time there was a very limited production (4 or 5) of OEM carbon fiber hoods. They were a single layer carbon fiber with no bracing and required at least 2 front hood pins. Mine sustained some damage but is still usable and very light!!!

what i would kill for a CF Hood!! I couldnt care less if it had a cowl on it or not, the light weight of them alone makes it worth having!!
