it's been done by several people here. it can be pretty simple to do...........if you have the right materials. since you have them apart already, you have to use a hair dryer or a heat gun to soften the silicone holding the chrome assembly on the clear cover. when you get those separated, then you can pull out the orange cover, it just snaps in place, so it's easy to get out. when that is done, you need to clean all of the old silicone off before putting more silicone on the assembly. replace the chrome assembly, then put the back on again and give the whole assembly time to set before putting it back in the car.
