phillips 12k H.I.D. kit ordered off of some website...not ebay. they are VERY easy to install and...the hardest part is finding a place to put this little box that you have to have that powers them....other than that...you just plug in 3 plugs and they work!

I'm still trying to decide if I really want to throw HID in without a projector (which is too much of a PITA to to, IMHO.) I certainly don't want to blind oncoming traffic. Do you get a lot of people flashing you?

I've paid for more overpriced OS Silverstars over
the years than I care to admit, and they are still
the best filament bulbs IMHO... but I do still want
to hear from people who have put real HID in an
Alero without a projector retrofit. :/

Okay, then I guess I should chime in here. I have the HID kit w/out projector retrofit. Do I get flashed alot? Define alot? Really it all depends I guess...depends on how the oncoming car is coming at me. I mean if i'm coming to the peak of a hill and its just right where it goes right in the windshield, then yes I get flashed. I have not yet been flashed since I've moved to NC. There was a stretch of a week where I got flashed everyday, but then after that, not at all. Its goofy I guess...maybe it was just the same guy everyday. I wouldn't get the 12K kit though...you will definately get flashed with those, I would go with the 8K kit.
