Ok heres the story. My trunk used to shake really bad when I put my subs in my trunk so I bought a big sheet of dinamat. It helped but it still shakes pretty bad. Any way to make the latch hold it better or anything else I can do?

the part that rattles on my trunk is the removable plastic piece between the taillights. you should remove it, back the edges w/ some dynomat then reinstall it.

thats the part that rattles on mine as well. I took it off and dynomatted it with the exteme and it STILL rattles...Its really no big to me anymore, I've found a volume level where I can leave it and still have it sound good, but with no rattle.

Generally, it is the piece between tail lights. Mine did it there but my bumper on my passenger side also shakes pretty bad. So what I did was heard it was rattling while outside, so it was a pretty easy fix I got inside my car turned it up a little more and couldn't hear a thing!

Well with the dynamat inside the trunk the bass sounds great on the inside but on the outside it sounds like ass.

not Dynamat for the plastic liscense piece. WINDOW SEAL FOAM, it works great! apply it to the edges and the holes where the plastic clips go in. Thats how it rattles; it vibrates thru anything it touches. the only problem i have is the top where it touches the window. When lifted up it stops but the hood bump stops are a good idea for that. If you want the trunk to stop ratteling. Just face the subs to the seats. Thats what i did. You loose the 3Dp echo effect but its better than listening to metal shake for sure
