Trunk lid plastic rattle fix

After deadening the crap out of my trunk lid (3 layers) I still had a horrible rattle from the plastic piece that has the ALERO emblem on it. I finally drilled out one of the factory mounting holes and put a bolt through it with a wing nut and washer on the other side. Problem SOLVED!!!

Very nice, but you should probably paint the bolt to the color of your car so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.

i did the same thing except i went upwards to where the olds logo is, the screw is hidden and it still prevents that lid from rattling around like crazy.
