Here is the latest from Matt @ MRZ:

Hello Steve,

Good to see that there is good interest on this new product. You guys will
love the door sills for sure. Here are the details to the questions the gusy
submitted.

> - Grand Ams only have about an 1 inch or so in that area. With
> that being said how big is the text going to be on the sil plate?

We will make the door sills according to that area, and the letter will be
about 3/4" if the area is 1". We will have to get our hand on a GA or Alero
before telling anything sure on this matter, but be sure we will make a
product that blends with the rest of the car.

> - When the group buy for sway bars from PFYC went through they
> e-mailed us a link for us to all pay via link. How are we going
> to pay for these if this goes through?

When everything is ready to go, you will be able to make the order directly
on our website, from there you can pay via Paypal or money order. We'll give
you all details when everyone is ready to move forward with the project.

> - Also many people including myself are wanting to know what
> they can put on the sills so, can for instance can I get
> supercharged on mine for the $60-80 or is it more. Obviously
> people are just worried about price and having different cars and
> wanting different phrasing is coming into play.

We can settle on 2 main design that would be the standard parts at $60, lets
say for example Alero and Grand Am. We can also do custome work like I said
previously, those have to be custom made, the charge for the custom emblems
vary between $40-50 depending on the work to acheive.

On the parts with custom emblems, what we do is make the design and send out
a sketch to you for approval. This way you will receive exactly what you are
looking for. Once the design is approved, we go ahead and cut the actual
part you willl receive.

Let me know if you or the guys have any other questions.

Thanks again!

Mathieu at MRZ Performance

Well basically I was wanting to know what the plates are gonna say.. Would be nice to maybe have the olds symbol with "Alero" or something...

Maybe we can submit ideas for that and vote on them... The most popular one gets made. just a suggestion.

I know a few of us already want a custom design so, first lets get some feed back and see what everone wants and go from there.

I wouldn't mind mine saying GLS Coupe, but not sure how many other people have a GLS coupe. haha Doesn't really matter to me.... ALERO would be fine with the oldsmobile symbol...

With the length of the piece, I think Oldsmobile with the olds symbol would fit nicely.

Oldsmobile with the symbol would be excellent also. I'm not too picky as long as it's not "turbo" or something I'll never have in my car. haha

-We still need 2 for the coupe buy and 4 for the sedan buy so, who else wants em?

I know he charges more for custom orders, But if someone really wants something i can probably create the design in Adobe Illustrator and email it to MRZ. I think those vector-based graphics make it significantly easier to make the custom designs.

They work with A-cad. They are willing to knock down the price on custom work if you draw it up. I need to get my hands on it but, have been slackin.

I just need a good graphic to make outlines from. I can export them as either .dwg or .dxf Autocad files.

That would be cool. I didnt think of doing that. See what you can do and I will look harder to get a cheap (free) copy of A-cad.

WE STILL NEED A FEW MORE PEOPLE!

I'd be in.... But no. 60 bucks for a peice of Aluminum that says Oldsmobile? I'd personally rather fix my car. Since i should do that before i start adding stuff.
