Hiya
Hello everyone!
I've been lurking around the forums here the last few days in search of some tips on rejuvinating my Alero. It's a 2001 red GL2 that is in need of some lovin. Also, I think I may have one of those factory freaks O_o. I've drove 4 other 3400 Alero's that all seems alot doggier than mine. Like not even in the same ballpark. I guess thats kinda what is making me anxious to do some mods to it and really see what she can do after some tuning.
I also work at an automotive recycler (junkyard) as a network administrator, so let me know if you need any used parts. www.billsmithauto.com if you want to see our yard. We usually get a couple of Alero's per month so we have quite a few parts.
Also a couple of questions..
1. How many of you have removed your air dams? I have replaced two already (destroyed via racoon) and its kind of an eyesore. I'm debating on whether to just take this one off or what. Any adverse effects?
2. Every once in a while (maybe like 1 out of 200 starts) all of my warning lights come on and stay on until I restart the car. wtf is up with that? Doesn't do it all of the time, just every once in a while.

Only one we have is part of the whole front end. From the dash to the bumper. However, I see several yards in OH have grey ones available, if you wanna pm me with more specific location, I can help you find one.
DOH, toledo.. and I misread, they are all in MI
Okay, here is where you can get one..
Integrity Auto, Owosso, MI
989-723-5188
TVS Motors, Inc, South Lyon, MI
248-437-2010
Seem to be going for around $150-$250

Welcome and removing the air dam could heat up your car faster. It deflects air into the raditor

I'm a Mechanical Engineering major so going to parties is pretty rare.

I am guessing your dash is bubbling up and rolling up like mine?
Send one to me if you have two
