So?

Yes, my car, last winter, rocked KDW all the way through. I do not recommend it. lol.

The KDWS tires are ratted horrendously in all categories. If you do want performance in the winter, get Blizzaks, otherwise if you want an "everything but snow" performance tire, the KDW is where it's at.

if its mainly for summer the riken raptor zr line is amazing for the price. I noticed huge difference with them and they stick like velcro to the roads during the rainy reason. Still have to wait until the snow hits before i can say anything to that effect but i heard they are good then too.

ion's tires would be best bet for summer driving. but if you drove all winter i'd highly recommend winterforce, they are absolutely amazing in the winter. seriously have never drove a car with better tires than winterforce in the winter.

Those were the stock tires on the GTO, they definitely left something to be desired.

The Continentals I have on the Alero are great for 4-season driving, the best high performance all season in the snow. The Goodyears Eagle F1 GS-D3 I have are good for the summer. They were one of the top choices, but there's been better since, although not too much better in the wet weather. They do have the look down though

KDW-2's are an old tire (also the only thing I've heard people complain about them is the noise). They're good, but not the best out there anymore. I just got a set of Hankook Ventus V12 Evo's. $86/tire in 205/45R17, with a $50 rebate on 4. Car and Driver only rated one tire better than those Hankooks: the Dunlop Direza Star Spec. The Dunlops have about 2/3 the tread rating as the Hankooks.
If you want a great performing all season, go for the BFG F1 all seasons.

How do you like the Ventus V12's? I was running Ventus HRII H405 I think on the Alero and I loved them. Excellent value. The V12's are definitely rated well. I'm looking for new tires for my Caliber since the factory installed Firestones are noisy as hell and don't handle very well. The V12's are supposed to be both quiet and have good handling. I'm interested in your take on them.

Well, I bought a set of KDWS when they first came out over 8 years ago, and they were 10x better than the goodyear F1's that got replaced. If they were good back then than I can't see how they would be bad now....

So after looking at all the recommended tires, Here is the 3 I'm trying to choose from so far
(1)BF Goodrich G-force T/A KDW-2
(2)Falken Azenis RT615
(3)Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

I've heard Azenis and Eagle F1 both are total garbage... so... you can't go by what anyone says I guess. All tires have people on both sides.. but I'd listen to people who've actually had the tires they're suggesting.

Azenis were the thing to have for autocross the past couple years. Now, not so much. Dunlops or Yokos.

I know a lot of people with MINIs who have the KDW-2's and love them. The Eagle F1 is what people who want really good all-seasons run and I haven't heard any complaints.

As for my Hankooks - too soon to make a real judgment, being just barely broken in, but so far they're nice and quiet and seem to perform well both in the rain and dry fast twisty stuff. Best thing for me is ride comfort - 10x better than the runflats.
