Xtra CD-Changer at OEM Radio?

I have the OEM Radio buildt in and I'm wondering if there's a way to add a CD-Changer to that Radio?

Other question: What Double-Din Radios with MP3 Option will fit without lot's of work into the original shaft?
(And which ones of these Double-Din radios do not look like a child's play tool with 100 switches & knobs and displays which are lighter than any TV)

What's an fm modluaor? I'm sure you mean "modulator" but what's this?
A kind of adapter?

Depending on what plug additional plug you have in the back of the radio, you might be able to use a E&C bus changer.

I have a factory double din nav unit in my Alero (from a '05 Rendezvous). It was a tight squeeze in there, but i think the aftermarket double din units are smaller.

OK, solutions sounds not really worthy for me....
Problem with the FM Modulator will be that there's no control for the CD changer...
Nevertheless thanks to all for response.

Unfortunately, there is no built in CD changer controller with the stock head units.

Quite frankly, I would almost have to figure at this point that it should be standard by now???

The CD changer will come with a wired control that can be mounted some where easily accessed.

OK then is it possible to plug and play with junkyard parts? If so does that depend upon the year?

Yeah, it depends on the year and which radio you have to what changer you use.

If you could provide more details on this that would be helpful. For example if you know for a fact it only works on certain years stuff, etc.

First start off with what year your car is... 99-00 use a "E&C" data bus while the 00-04 uses the Class 2 data bus to control the CD changer. I know for a fact that the '01-'04 base GX radio will not work with a changer. For the '01-'04 you need to have the additional 12 pin connector next to the 24 pin connector.

So are you saying that it's a no on the 1999-2000?

And for whatever reason, I'd have to think that the ones with the Cd changer would have more buttons or some sort of labeling to the effect, but I have yet to see a pic of such.

No, just saying that the same one won't work in 99-00 as in 01-04. I believe the 99-00 should have a "aux" button.
