is my intake causing problems

so I installed a new intake and afterwards figured I'd do some general maintenance on my alero. in the process I ran an obd2 scan just to give my emissions systems a check. no DTC's came up but it reads that my evap system is in need of attention. my question is: can an aftermarket intake have any effect on the evap system?

No. Tighten your gas cap. The evaporative system warnings are not anything to worry about.

wow this thread went off topic fast.
EVAP system is not affected by different intakes. its not even anything to worry about its not gonna make your car run any different, just check your gas cap.
