If you have access to a shop/garage I would say just do it yourself. Dealerships are money grabbing bastards and its not a very difficult procedure.

Hey when you do that security reset it would be wise to put the battery on a charger or you may experience things like dim lights, or random dummy lights comming on.

...yes I know you already did it, but if you don't get it fixed then you will undoubtly have to do it again.

In some cases but not most...unless the stock key is pretty worn, and sometimes cutting a copy from a worn key will put you back in the same boat.
