rear mounted turbo

ive seen a few of these running around latly
ive been kickn around the idea for a bit now i think it would be unique,
that and keep the heat out of the engine bay,

thoughts.

you should want quick response, reliable oiling without miles of plumbing and a secondary pump, no water/rocks/etc. kicking up on your turbo or dislodging or damaging your long charge piping. also being how far the turbo is down the exhaust you lose a lot of velocity to spin the turbine.

you could just Google rear-mount turbos and see what the deal is

I'm not a turbo guru or anything, or have I turbo'd a car. but I know someone who used to have a rear mount turbo on his 02 silverado and he said the turbo lag was terrible..and I dont imagine an Alero having enough room underneath.
