Ok. So Ever since I bought my car. The passengers side window would go down easily. but then when trying to roll the window back up from the passenger side door control. nothing happens. it looks like a short to me. as I can move it up from the drivers side.

today I noticed that in the back passenger side I can move that one up and down from that door its self. But I can only move it down from the driver side. maybe a short as well. anyone else have these problems? or can anyone explain how to pop off that little plastic area so I can check the wires?

on another note. My automatic locks don't work either. they make a dingy sound when I push the button. and it sounds like its trying to lock. but then nothing happens. any ideas? its all helpful. thank you

jeff.

check the first half of my "leds in the doors" thread. i have pics and a description of how to remove the doors. its pretty easy. some of the control wire harnesses are a PITA to get to let go.

good luck though.

might want to check your fuses too. might be a blown one.. i'm not sure if all the doors are all wired into the same fuse...

Sounds to me like u have problems with ur CAN Bus system.

Most times, theres a broken computer or actuator (like motor for the window)
in the motors or control devices are restors, that prefent the CAN Signal from mixing up.

Sorry but don't have any practical tips for u at this time.

I'm not that far in my education as a car mechanic, sorry

Good Luck

I don't know about the windows.. but as far as the locks go, it sounds like you are talking abut when you hit the lock button it dings. It's a timed locking device. when you hit the lock button and it dings, as soon as all the doors are shut for like...5 or 6 seconds your car locks. to bypass this hit the lock button twice and they'll lock right away.

I think this is what you are talking about, if not, sorry

Kinda. except when I hit that lock button, either once, or twice. its like it tries to lock my door, but its not strong enough to do it. I hear it make the lock sound. but my lock doesnt move... any clearer?

Have u taken off the door paneels yet?

Could u check the wires of the power windows?

About the locks.
Take off the Paneel (s) and try to get a clear look at ur Motors and studs, that controls ur lock.

Perhaps, theres somethings broken.
Or ONE of ur lock motors is bad. And the systems prevents all doors to lock.
Lets say to show u that one lock doesn't work.

And About the windows. In modern cars the most systems are connected all together by the CAN Bus.
I'll try to translate a text from my school book

Sorry cant't find the text, i was looking for, right now.
U'll hear from me as soon as i have new information for you

Greetings from Germany

PS. Why Antwerpen on your License plate ??

Ok here some Info from the official source.
It was hard to find the right stuff in english

Power Windows System Check
1. Inspect the power windows circuit breaker.
2. If only the left front power window switch operates the windows, ensure that the lockout switch is not engaged.
3. Verify that ground G301 is clean and tight.
4. If a motor's internal circuit breaker trips, the circuit breaker will not reset until voltage is removed from the motor.
5. On Coupe only, if the RF or RR power window does not operate from the RF or RR window switch, but operates normally from the LF or LR power window switch, inspect CKT 141 for an open. If OK, replace the RF or RR power window switch. Refer to Front Door Switch Replacement in Doors.
6. On Sedan only, if the RF or RR power window does not operate from the RF or RR window switch, but operates normally from the LF or LR power window switch, inspect CKT 1307 for an open. If OK, replace the RF or RR power window switch. Refer to Front Door Switch Replacement in Doors.
7. Inspect for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation. A broken wire inside of the insulation may cause a system failure but prove good in a continuity/voltage test.
8. Inspect for proper installation of the aftermarket electronic equipment. Improper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment affects the integrity of other systems.

Try to upload the original page for ur door locks.

Antwerpen is the name of the dealership I purchased it at. I have since changed those frames and they now say "alero"
