antichrysler is the "Obama" of ex-alero owners. he can't decide what his opinion should be, depending on who the audience is.
in my opinion, if you don't own your car anymore, and you don't have anything to add to the Alero forum, then don't show that you have no life and you need to hang out on here. people like that have made this forum into a lame social event instead of an automotive enthusiast website. i really do think that the mods should look into getting rid of some memberships.

Could not agree more... people run into some minor (routine) maint. issues and the car is a POS... i mean mine blew the motor, re built the motor and blew with in 1000 miles.... I still have it and dont plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. Sorry but this "pos" is staying with me till it litterally falls apart around me. Guys need to learn that shit will break, fix it and get over it. Show some Gosh darn love and compassion for a car and stick with it.
I Alero

Dont know about you, but my alero ran away from one eclipse spider and made its handling and acceleration look like shit, as well as a Yukon Denalee (sp?) and yes evan a dumb ass on a motorcycle (long story.. all chased my car and failed miserably to stop me or evan overtake me ) so.... i have much pride and respect for the alero. It doesnt look like a car to think is capable of speed but i feel i will change lots of minds around here soon

It's just insane
WAH WAH WAH my car needs: brakes, tires, oil changed every 3000 miles, new headlight blub, JUTS LIKE EVERY OTHER effING CAR ON THE ROAD!!
But the best is: I never took care of my car, so I tried to blow the motor and failed since my POS has such a good motor in it but I did it because the lack of care I showed my car, and my car finally got even with me and made me late for work

Man. We should dub that behavior as aler-emo.
My headlight burnt out, oh how sad it is, now the alero shall be departed.
people like what was sad, its part of a cars life time. there aint a perfect car in the world.

I'd like to see how long the 3400 would last at the contest at the Lansing Olds show.
...instead of proving old nissans run for 20min w/ no fluids in them...

^^ I'll be happy if they take our request to blow up a Saturn.
If they do I'll videotape it and put it on the Saturn board

Is this for real?
Simply put, this is a "enthusiasts" forum, not a bitch-fest for ex-owners. If you dont own yours anymore, than take your wisdom and hit the f'ing road. The rest of us would like to continue enjoying our cars.
I haven't had anything go wrong with mine that wasn't self-induced.
And troyer - 5 window regulators in a year? Rediculous. Ever think that maybe it's being constantly installed incorrectly or not adjusted right once installed? yeah right. Maybe some other part or installation method is contributing to it's repeated failure. If I were you, I'd change mechanics.

The way i see it is its the aleros beautiful body styling that has got us crazy, and looks so dam good. Mainly the 2 door with its sporty looks. Only car i would choose from the Oldsmobile line up. Accords are just ugly, camrys too, so alero probaly lost since lack of craftmenship. But other than that its a dam good looking car. Otherwise I wouldn't be spending thousands on my alero to make it run and look good. I just love the Quad 4
