tranny troubles

I have a 99 gx. I let the car sit for a month. I drove the car about 3 miles to a carwash and left it running while I washed. When I left it wouldn't shift gears (it's an automatic). Could it just need the tranny flushed or fluid added? Any advice will help
Thanks
John

possibly or the linkage could be eff or something. i'm getting a new tranny for $750 and it has 31,000kms on it. if you can find a new one buy it cause they cost too much to rebuild

I disconnected the battery, didn't help. The SES light and Trac off lights are on. What does this mean?

Well I didn't see you say you checked the fluid so I would do that first, then if that's cool. I would take it to a shop. They say that you shouldn't do a tranny flush because you could cause more damage then you already have. I thought I had a problem with mine and come to find out that the tranny was fine it was just switching gears at the same time I had a miss in the engine. Anyway back to you check your fluid, and check for leaks, then go to a pro.
