It stops water from being sucked up into the intake. Its like having a large hole in a straw, its impossible for the water to enter the engine this way. |

i have a cold air intake fender kit in mine and where the kit goes water almost cant get to it if you got the same one......so like someone else said unless you ddrive through a pond you will be ok lol

I may be dumb here ...but what is the 2nd filter for the one by the tps sensor ?
would it not just suck in most of the air from there ? 1st time I have every seen that ?
