The size is not just cut and clear with tires. The sidewall size is a proportion to the section width.
For example, you with your stock tire you have a 205 section width with a 65% aspect ratio. which means you have a 133.25mm sidewall (205 x 0.65)
On the other hand, with the 215 you will have a 139.75mm sidewall.
How this works overall is more significant.
for your stock size (FYI, 381mm=15")...
2(205x0.65)+381=647.5mm overall height (25.49")
now for the larger size
2(215x0.65)+381=660.5mm overall height (26.00")
So the 215s will be about 1/2" taller.
