You should try looking for some Memphis Audio subs. They have low power ratings and they are loud as hell and they sound pretty good. You can buy them online at woofersetc.com but you probably won't get the factory warranty. Check out ikesound for some refurbed amps for cheap.

when i first started looking for a system i came across lanzar because of the unbelieveable price vs its wattage rms. a local audio head told me to instead look into the Alphasonik brand. which carries the same punch and relatively the same price. check them out at these two sites

i got a couple deals off of ebay. got the PMA2300A amp, their 5 farad cap and also their 4x6 speakers for the alero. i am not at all dissatisfied. my friend got the 800 series 12 inch sub and it is a MONSTER. he only paid 150 for it, pushes out 900 watts rms. so go ahead and price compare, read the reviews, and good luck....

lol personally i keep quality in mind, i have been through 3 systems in the last couple of months, i just recently replaced the stock speakers with kenwood excelons with a 4 channel 1000w amp and they are loud as hell. i have just recently sold my MTX system and bought 2 of the orion H2's 12'' right now they are hooked up to two precision power 2000w mono amps, but im only pushing 275w a side because i need to get another deep cycle battery for my car or i will just blow my altenator. lanzars equipment hits really hard from what ive seen but most of the lanzar systems ive seen are so distorted at loud volume. depends on what you want, my system is going to be real loud once i get the second battery but its also going to be very clear at high volume, if your looking for extreme bass at the cost of quality then go with the lanzars

as in so they are facing the front of the car rather than the back?
i thought about it to see a difference..
and there isnt any distortion at all at high volumes..if you know how to tune everything up you wont have that problem..i also got memphis audio 5.25's put in the front..now im working on getting an amp to run the 4 speakers..

well, i was gonna try to face them forward, but i ran into some trouble..the wires are stretched to the fullest, so if i were to turn the box around id have to get extensions on the wires, so im just gonna leave it..
also i was told that im only running about 700w to each sub..which is pretty shitty since they rms at 1100w so im thinking about getting either the hifonics collosus(sp) or 2 2000w amps..not exactly sure yet, but id like to run these to there capabilities =/

so one person tells you that you arent running at ur 2200 RMS, and at 1400 RMS, and you want 4000 RMS now...haha i doubt those subs will last 15 seconds. and how shitty is ur setup that 1400 RMS isnt enough? seriously even one 1000 RMS amp can do some serious damage
edit: read some of your other posts, and your one of the "peak power" guys, which is absolutely worthless. go by RMS ratings, and completely ignore peak power ratings. as a general rule, if they give you a peak power rating, its prolly crap, or generally inexpensive. just an FYI

i think you might be mistaking something...
each sub rms's at 1100w..and peaks at 2200w so it would be 2200w rms for both and 4400w max for both
right now im running about 700w to each so thats 1400w for both..i still have 800w til i hit rms and thats what im looking for..if not more
