Ok, today I spent some time drawing up my amp rack in 3D.

Ive got alot of shit and not alot of room. So I figured it best to draw it to see what will fit where and how it will work.

Heres the result.

The overall is 33" wide, 12" deep and 10 1/4" tall...

Ref 500 and top deck removed to show distro block placement:

Bottom area holding the 30 Band 1/3 Ocative EQ and my 3 way crossover unit. There will also be a small coil of 1/0 main power since the top is hinged.

I hope to start cutting wood tomorrow.

There will be two cross flow fans on the right. On the left is two exits. The top lid will have a lexan window with the Basstronic's logo etched into it.

Im also designing up my custom grilles for the mid bass's. Ive got a guy contracted to do the laser work already

Well I have seen other stuff done to Aleros on there that did not think was possible, so just crazy thought, is it possible to add a second alternator to 3400?

I can't wait to see how you get that into you car!

its always possible to add another alternator to a vehicle. the real question... is it practical?

in this case.. no. i doubt anyone has got to that level of power draw with an alero.

You could replace your A/C compressor with an alt and some custom brackets, sure of it.

The amp rack will slide right in there. I got the backs eat out, still....lol My cars been torn apart for over 2 months now. Its either time or money I dont have...

Got a good portion of the rack together. The shelf fits nicely into its slot

That allows me to mount amps to the board and slide it in there.

I gotta get the top piece and front flap cut and mounted next. I got some sanding to do.

Im going to cover this rack in carpet. My hinges are exposed on the back. So in that are I wont glue the carpet down, so it will flex.

I hate you,

I just wish I had the money right now to work on my car radio, looks like your having to much FUN.

Anyway, it looks really clean so far, looking forward to seeing how you run the mess of wires.
