Why temporary? You are officially louder than 98% of the people on this site. Good call on the aluminim coils. Any TL numbers yet?

Temporary because it is gonna be torn apart to carpet the box and make some amp racks and hide the batteries some how. Plus a trunk pack of second skin needs to go in.

I see, well that should be fun. Vids yet??? Not too often you see an Alero bangin' around here. We have a few members on the site with some good size setups, though it's always nice getting a new basshead on here.

And a sidenote, how much did you pay for your mechman if you don't mind me asking?

No videos yet but I will be sure to make some as soon as everything is finished.

Set everything with an o-scope today and can only play around half power so the subs can break in but I'll tell you right now it is very violent.

I see, are you a member of smd, realmofexcursion, caco or whatnot, or how did you hear about audique? Nice underground sub company. Always wondered how they sounded before I ordered my DC lvl4xl.

I like it, it would not be great for db drag but good for bass race.

The way he has it set up now with the 3 batteries and 2 non monoblock amps it would put him into the super street no wall class or super street 1-2. SS no wall would put him against guys that have suvs and 4 18". SS 1-2 would put him against guys that wall off their cars or suvs from the B pillar and thats not the guys you want to go against from the trunk.

http://dbdragracing.com/dbdrag/rules...s.asp?Org_ID=1

If he removed one of the batteries from the trunk he could be in street c, then if he went down to 1 of those amps to drive the subs and removed both of the batteries from the trunk he would be in street b.

Don't get me wrong, I like the set up and would be great for bass race 120-129.9, maybe even the 130-139.9. With the HO alternator and 3 batteries he shouldn't have to worry to much about voltage.

Now thats just if he wants to do comps.

I hope that box is more then just glue and screws, did you glass the inside of the box?. A little flex in the box = allot of spl loss, its why my box is 1.5" of mdf and glassed on the inside. My box takes up over 8 cubes of trunk but is only 4 cubes.

Box doesn't have any flex from what I can see. It has a double front baffle and is braced internally with 2x4's

Yea the normal HDC3's are more than capable of handling a 2200 on each speaker. I just went with the aluminum coils because I love to abuse the piss out of them.

Sounds great dude but just me I would still glass the inside of the box just to have it just that much stronger.

So are you going to do any comps?
