I have the CAI from FDP performance and want to know how often you guys clean or replace your filters, and can I clean the one that comes with the CAI from FDP or do I have to replace it?

If I can clean it how do I do that?

If I have to replace it what do u suggest I replace it with and where would I get the filter from?

And is there an easy way to get to the filter rather than jacking the car up, taking the wheel off, and pulling the wheel liner out, cause I'm lazy. I know mine needs cleaned or replaced right now thats why I'm asking.

Thanks for any info you have.

I clean my every season and replace it onces a year...
In cleaning it i take it out and shoot it with compressed air from my compressor. Cleans it up looking brand new. I also take apart the piping and wash and clean it out, cause there is alot of "shiz" that builds up along the walls of it from the road.

I bought the k&n filtercharger kit. It works pretty good.

You can get it at an auto parts store for like 10 to 15 bucks

Can't you go in from the bottom instead of removing the fender lining?

actually if u read into k&n's instructions, they say that having some dirt in the filter helps it out.

They say to only clean it every like 25k miles

ANd i've tried everything dood, the only way to get it out is to take the wheel off and fender lining
