antenna extender?
i live in Baltimore.....i have this problem where 92.3 overpowers EVERY other radio station. everything else is static. other people with visible radio antennas dont have this problem. i didnt have this problem with my cavalier. does anyone know where in the body of the alero the antenna ends? i want to extend it and run it to the back like a fin or something.

The antenna in the Alero is the Back glass's defroster.
If you look at the back glass on the passenger side, you'll see two wires go out of the trim.

There is an antenna booster built in the Aleros I dont remember the color of the wire on the stock harness, but I know you have to split it with the remote wire from your aftermarket head unit.

You need to hook it. My reception was really crappy before I did it. Also I was not getting any AM stations before. Now it works fine.

the antenna booster wire is the green one (pretty sure) that you see in the picture. aftermarket harnesses don't hook it up so you have to put a 12v+ (switched) to it yourself
