If it is designed properly and you insulate the back of the guages you should have no problem. It's not like they are blowing 500 degree air or something.

hmmmm I have the fiberglass stuff and the center vent. I might be able to come up with a pod to go there. let me take a look at it. what size gauges ? how many ? prob. get (3) 2" gauges or (2) 2 5/8

I have 3 alero center air vents, 1 regular, 1 painted, and 1 i am going to work on. During the winter i wont use the one with the gauge. i will use the painted one. So i can have my heat.
