If you recieved $1,000, lets just say on your tax return. What are the best engine modifications for the little amount of money.

Well, if your completely stock do CAI, headers, other exhaust and DHP. Although, headers would eat up most of that 1000 fairly quickly

^^^instead of headers i would do ported and polished intake manifolds with the rest of that stuff. headers can wait til you have more money to play with.

CAI, cold air intake....WAI, warm air intake....if you're looking for either; aleromod ourselves will be producing some very shortly. Best part about them is that they are the same as anywhere else, cost less and any proceeds benifit the site, so its a win win across the board.

if you have to ask about cai i assume that you wont be installing yourself so make sure you save some money for install if you get anything more than intake and exhaust.

digital horse power....they make an aftermarket PCM (powertrain control module) for our cars. it comes with quite a few features, removes the speed limiter, 3-1 and 4-2 skip shifts etc.

if i had 1 grand and i was bone stock. i'd work on getting used or ebay headers, a high flow cat, a cat back exhaust. a nice CAI. coil packs, new spark plug wires, and better plugs. and if you have money left over, an underdrive crank pulley.
everyone said that the stock cat "could hold up" and "works fine" and "flows well" when it actually doesnt....
also i rememebr a few people saying that, you dont need to upgrade the coils and electrical/ignition things like that. when you'd be suprised how much of a difference it makes.
this is from my personal experience.

I know what a cold air intake is, and can install it myself, thats not a very hard thing to do. I just wasn't getting the acronym. Where can a get one of these PCMs.
